My grandpa passed away last week. We spent the past days of his life by his side at the hospital. Letting him go was hard - we miss him every minute and imagining a life without him seems impossible right now. Although I had a chance to say goodbye there's still so much I'd like to tell him. He was a remarkable man who never lost his sense of humor, always lent a helping hand and had a sheer unlimited repertoire of interesting stories to tell. He wasn't ready to go yet, but he had a fulfilled life and I'm glad he didn't have to suffer long. I'll cherish the memories I have of him forever.
Rest in peace, Opa.
I'm so, so sorry, Marie. Lots of love and peace to you and your family.
ReplyDeleteI'm also very sorry to hear about this. It sounds like he was an amazing person and well loved, who could ask for more? Please take care, Marie.
ReplyDeleteOh Marie, I'm so sorry for your loss. It's so difficult to lose the people you love. I'll be praying for you and your family. May you experience a sense of peace during this difficult time. How wonderful it is that he was able to live a "fufilled" life as so many people do not.
ReplyDeletelots of love,
Esther
